El sitio oficial para la adaptación al anime de las novelas ligeras de Firehead, “A Wild Last Boss Appeared! (Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta!)”, se reveló el video promocional principal del proyecto. El video confirma que el estreno está programado para el periodo de Otoño de 2025 (Octubre-Diciembre), y lista los detalles de producción y el elenco de voces.
Por su parte, Firehead comenzó la publicación de la historia a través del servicio independiente Shousetsuka ni Narou en 2015, y la finalizó en 2017. Posteriormente, la editorial Earth Star Entertainment comenzó su publicación en papel en febrero de 2016 con ilustraciones de YahaKo, finalizándola en abril de 2019 con un total de nueve volúmenes. Una adaptación a manga de la mano de Tsubasa Hazuki se publica a través del servicio Comic Earth Star desde 2017, y actualmente sigue en serialización.
