Se a informado que el juego para smartphones «Re:Zero Witch’s Re:surrection» cerrará su servicio el 30 de mayo de 2025 a las 14:00 horas (JST). Además, con el anuncio, se han dejado de vender los cristales arcoíris mágicos, la moneda premium del juego.
Este RPG basado en la popular franquicia apenas durará nueve meses, ya que se lanzó el 26 de agosto de 2024. La cantante Konomi Suzuki, quien ha interpretado varios openings del anime, fue la encargada de ponerle voz al tema principal del juego, Resurrection.
Si esto suena a déjà vu, es porque no es la primera vez que un juego de «Re:Zero» desaparece en poco tiempo. «Re:Zero Lost in Memories» también cerró sus servidores en su momento, y el juego de navegador «Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu: Kinsho to Nazo no Seirei» tampoco logró mantenerse. Parece que, aunque la franquicia sigue siendo un éxito en anime y novelas ligeras, los juegos no logran despegar.
Como era de esperarse, la noticia generó un montón de comentarios entre los fans japoneses:
- «Sabía que esto iba a pasar».
- «Entre Lost in Memories y este, los juegos de Re:Zero parecen estar malditos».
- «Nueve meses… bueno, al menos duró un poco».
- «Se notaba que era un juego hecho solo por conmemoración».

- «Primero Lost in Memories, ahora este… los juegos de Re:Zero duran menos que la vida de Subaru en la serie. Me encantaban las historias originales, así que me da pena. ¡Gracias al equipo de desarrollo!».
- «¿Tan pronto lo cierran…?».
- «Lo veía venir. ¿Por qué la franquicia solo sabe hacer bien el anime y los sorteos de Ichiban Kuji».
- «Pensé que duraría poco, pero esto es ridículo… ni con la nueva temporada del anime lograron atraer gente».
- «Duró lo que un parpadeo».
- «Siempre dije que lo probaría algún día… y al final nunca lo hice».
A pesar de que sus juegos no parecen tener suerte, «Re:Zero» sigue siendo un éxito en anime y novelas ligeras.
